About Presentation (Abstract) |
||
| Identifying standards that will assist you refine or develop processes or technology solutions is made all the more complex by the plethora of standards available. To assist in identifying the tools that will be of most use to you, it helps to have a broad overview of the standards development process and the key standards developed for this area. This paper looks at the Standards Australia and ISO processes which are the areas where information management (as opposed to information technology) standardization is primarily taking place. The second part of this paper then provides an overview of the current applicable standards for information management and how they relate to each other.
It includes standards for records management, metadata, digital preservation and work process analysis.
