Mark Rogers is Director, CIO Support & Information Services, leading a mixed team providing information management policy and support services within the Business and Information Management Solutions Group at IP Australia. Current responsibilities including general records, the Library, the Intranet and a range of IM user education & awareness activities as well as business group secretariat functions. Over the past eight years Mark developed and partially implemented the information management framework for IP Australia. Mark has worked at IP Australia since 1992 in a variety of roles, including information management, continuous improvement and IT. He has been a member of the ACT Branch Committee of the Institute for Information Management since 2001 and is a long time member of the ACT-KM Forum and of the APS-KM Forum.

Email is now a pervasive part of our private and business lives. There are few things more convenient than quickly skimming the in-tray and ripping off a quick replies - almost as easy as using a phone. Personally, I start to feel cut off if I can’t access my email for more than a few days. Yet I think we all recognise that with the convenience of email has come a small raft of challenges for organisations and individuals. Many organisations struggle with these (and in some cases, rightly so). This presentation will explore key challenges in the areas of:
