Cairo has more than fifteen years business experience across a wide range of industries and has worked with many organisations in both the public and private sectors. From both an operational and strategic perspective, Cairo has led the online and information management programmes for two of New Zealand’s Top 5 companies, Fonterra and Woolworths. Cairo takes a common sense approach to delivering information management strategies and initiatives that benefit organisations and stakeholders. 

About Presentation (Abstract)

Information management projects are usually large, complex projects and often follow on the heels of earlier projects that have failed at least in part to deliver the promised benefits. Approaches often start with 100 page strategy documents or detailed project plans and then move into content and systems audits or the end-to-end mapping of complex business processes By the time these activities are complete they are already out of date. Teams grappling with the breadth and complexity of information management initiatives also struggle to deliver within the organisational realities of lack of resources and general apathy from stakeholders. Using real-life case studies this presentation outlines an approach to information management projects, which if followed will ensure that visible, above the water line benefits will be realised within the first six months.
