Stephen Collins lives and breathes knowledge working. He particularly enjoys passing on his past experiences of driving workplace change and teaching people about social computing and the difference this group of technologies can make to the way people can gather, share and leverage knowledge in their organisations.

Stephen has over 13 years of experience in knowledge work as an information architect, consultant and self-appointed tricky problem-solver.

 

 

About Presentation (Abstract)

A change needs to be made in knowledge work. No longer confined to limited parts of business, knowledge workers are everywhere and the way that they work needs to adapt rapidly. To facilitate this change, business needs to make equally rapid adaptations. Unwillingess or inability to change puts business at major risk of irrelevance at best and self-destruction at worst.

Stephen Collins will introduce the new Knowledge Worker and illustrate several ways that both workers and business can drive change and adopt practices and tools to enable Knowledge Worker 2.0 to thrive.
